Change of plans!
I told the kids when we decided to take this trip that this would be an adventure and that is exactly what it is shaping up to be. Charleston had a flight out on Friday night and we had hope to get on that flight. No such luck. There were 19 seats and we were number 64 and there were a total of about 72 people wanting on the flight. So, there is a flight out today, if they can get the plane repaired, to Rota, Spain. So the plan is to fly to Spain, take a commercial flight to a small village in Germany and then a train to Frankfurt to meet Win. So we will see Spain instead of France.
The good thing about the last few days is getting to stay with Lisa Seagle and her wonderful family. They fed us dinner on Friday night, provided a wonderful place to stay and Mike cooked us all a big breakfast this morning. If we don't get out today, we will head back to their house. It was truly a blessing to be with them.
Yesterday we did get to see the aircraft carrier in Charleston which was a lot of fun. I will post pictures of that day later when I have my camera.
So keep praying we get out. We still have plenty of time to meet up with Win.
