June 15 - Munich and Win
Today was not the best days. We woke up at Hotel Anna and had a wonderful traditional German breakfast of meat, cheese, and bread. We hit the road after breakfast and headed to Munich to pick Win up. However, we had the hardest time finding our way to Munich because for one, our GPS device was not taking Munich. We had to put in a city on the way to Munich and find our way by those means. We planned on just looking for the signs as we went. I had a hard time trusting William’s directions because I was so worried because I didn’t want Win waiting too long for us, and I was not used to driving on the German roads. There was so much traffic because they were working on the autobahn every few miles. After six hours of driving, William was able to get us there with the help of my driving. We picked up Win at the airport and we were so excited to see him. It was a great moment and we were so happy to have him back with us during this time. We drove through Munich and I was so nervous the entire time. Win was giving me directions while I was trying to drive through the ever so busy city of Munich. I had countless cars running up on my tail, Anna and Davis bickering, Win giving difficult directions, and the entire time I just had this weight on my chest while we were trying to find somewhere to eat. We were specifically looking for a traditional German Hofbrauhaus, which is a beer house. Win had his first beer in eight months and he was so happy. We walked around a part of Munich and the made our way back to the car. We drove out of Munich and had the worst time finding place to stay, but finally at midnight, we found a guesthouse and crashed there. It was small, nice place that had comfortable beds and that was all that mattered.
